The City

New York. I don't even know were to begin on explaining how incredible this weekend was. On the plane ride back, my friend asked me if I had to summarize the trip in one word what would it be. I told her I could describe it in two: life changing. Every single moment of the trip was more exciting than the next. I learned things about myself I had never known and met people that have inspired me to go after what I want in life. The purpose of the trip was to visit advertising agencies and go to the AWNY Conference to familiarize myself with the industry and learn more about what exact area in Advertising I want to pursue. Let me tell you, I'm pretty sure I left the city more confused then when I got there. Every agency visit was so exciting and every single employee I met was extremely passionate about what they do, making me question what exactly I'd want to do since every aspect seemed so freaking amazing. I also really don't know why in the world New Yorkers are made to seem like the rudest, meanest, and most selfish type of people; I think the complete opposite...every single person I encountered was so helpful and caring. Anyway, aside from the business side of the trip, the experiences I went through were craaaay. From having a poem written about my friends and me on the Subway by a recovering alcoholic on his way to AA, to getting directions to the nearest liquor store by a homeless man and getting a discount for mentioning "the man with the dog"....its safe to say this trip was one for the books. Below are pictures (from my new cam) of my favorite things from the trip. Also, below is the color of the week!

{view from the top} That is what I saw from my seat (12A) upon arrival to NYC!

 {Public Library} I have never seen such a beautiful Library in my life. Not to mention that is were Carrie Bradshaw and Big got married (yes, I'm a huge Sex and The City fan) which made it even more magical.

 {Grand Central} Hey Upper East Siders. Gossip Girl here. And I have the biggest news ever. One of my many sources, Melanie91, sends us this: "Spotted at Grand Central, bags in hand: Sophia van der Weill." (A girl can pretend, ya know)

{doesn't this food look awesome? Fooled ya...it was probably the worst meal I've ever had in my life...extreme fail at me wanting to have a little lunch in Grand Central being all cute..instead it was so hot I was sweating in places I didn't even know sweat glands existed}

{Magnolias cupcake in Grand Central}

{Street Livin'} I firmly believe that a person can NEVER be bored on the streets of New York}

{gorgeous flowers}

{fish tank art}

{this really messes with your mind}

{didn't really understand this}

{FRIDA}

{so pretty...}

{Mr. Warhol}

{another Warhol}

 {Dean&Deluca} This was the most amazing little market. The people were so great and there were so many interesting foods...I mean, truffle salt was $29.99 so I'd probably never actually shop there, but its nice to pretend.
{fruits&vegetables}

{sweets}

{pastries}

{more veggies}

{flowers}

{CHEESE}

{MORE CHEESE}
